Documentation
of policies and procedures achieves statutory compliance
and provides new staff and client handbooks.
The introduction of the Care Standards Act was the
catalyst a leader in the UK's independent nursing agency
sector needed implement a project to create, document
and publish internal policies and procedures in the
form of staff and client handbooks.
Following a review of the compliance requirements of
the Act, an analysis of existing disparate policy documents
and the broader requirements of the business it was
possible to produce a compact, informative and easy
to read 'Agency Nurse Handbook'.
In addition a 'Service Users Guide' was completed,
documenting the information specified in the Act and
providing an ongoing client communication medium.
