Project Structure
BCM Project Deliverables
Depending on specific client and/or project requirements
the following deliverables would typically be anticipated.
-
Following initial preparation in order to determine key business
processes and the roles of attendees etc. - Provision of a facilitated
workshop to lead attendees through the processes of business
continuity planning, allowing attendees to identify of and work
through real examples of risk identification, analysis and control.
-
A 'risk self assessment' form will be tailored, based on the
workshop results, and circulated to identified key management
staff - illustrative examples of risk and control are unlikely
to be included as we find these can 'lead the thinking' of respondents.
-
Workshop findings and self assessment questionnaire responses
will be analysed and interview guides devised in preparation
for interviews with key management staff as appropriate to their
roles and responsibilities. Interviewees to be agreed in advance
by the client and ETP based on all available information to
ensure appropriate coverage of organisation.
-
Analyse identified risks in terms of anticipated likelihood
and impact, determine and agree appropriate control, contingency
and/or recovery strategies and actions as required in liaison
with key staff as necessary.
-
Produce physical 'Business Continuity Plan' document/s as
required to meet the identified needs of the business in respect
of its functional and geographic structure. BCP documents to
be clearly structured and concise.
-
Engage with key management staff to ensure effective review
process to validate accuracy and appropriateness of BCP documentation.
The effectiveness of this process will require commitment from
key client staff. Finalised BCP documents will be issued as
'controlled documents' in line with any existing client internal
document control procedures.
-
Presentation of the newly published BCP documents, a 'refresher'
on business continuity management principles, the processes
leading to the production of the plan documents, the responsibilities
of key management staff to 'own' business continuity as an embedded
management process with scheduled review, validation and re-issue
phases.
