Business
Continuity Management - Guidelines
As a key component of contemporary management the role
of Business Continuity Management is recognised as a critical element
of the public and private organisational environment and has achieved
new levels of professional competence and maturity within a relatively
short period of time.
The role of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and its professional
membership has contributed to the development of global Business
Continuity Management professional standards.
The BCI has published a set of Good Practice Guidelines for
Business Continuity Management. These guidelines provide a
generic framework and standardised approach to enable and inform
the development of effective Business Continuity Management processes
within an organisation.
In particular the guidelines are designed to provide assistance
in understanding and applying the Business Continuity Management
principles.
